Description

At the end of 2010, Circo de Bakuza and ESKI established a partnership to offer sensasional experiences for major international events. The first production that emerged from this partnership took place October 11th, 2011 at the memorable night for Bell Canada’s black tie event One Night Under a Blue Sky held at the Toronto Convention Centre.

Bell Canada asked Circo de Bakuza to bring a truly unique ‘one night show’ to the Toronto marketplace — “something that would represent our brand in a sophisticated, elegant, and classy way with a strong narrative throughout each event component“. To get there, Circo de Bakuza involved ESKI as a technological partner to develop and manufacture some of the key visual elements. We designed and installed a ring of video pixel tubes of 2m x 16m controlled by our new visualizer & show controller, LAVA.

We placed battery-powered luminous centerpieces on each table, controlled via the most recent update to our PixMob technology that allows video playback on static objects. We designed six luminous dresses in partnership with Circo de Bakuza with various soft lighting technologies. We also embedded the costumes of the performers with the smallest version of the PixMob hardware to date in order to animate the color of their costumes.
