Unlike other 3D display technologies, Revolver creates true volumetric video, allowing viewers to really see in 3D without the use of any visual prostheses.
Revolver was introduced at the Wired NEXTFEST 2006 at the Javits Center in New York. With more than 50,000 visitors, the product introduction was a massive success.
The next step for digital imaging is the accurate reproduction of three-dimensional objects. In developing Revolver, ESKI aimed to create 3D objects that could be viewed from all angles. These programmable 3D images could then be used in a wide array of media and scientific applications. The 3D animations can be seen from any angle, making the technology ideal for public spaces and collaborative environments.
