Revolver uses the phenomenon of persistence of vision to display 3D video by controlling the light emitted from thousands of LEDs in rotation.
The light emitted from volume display appears to be floating in space, creating clouds of overlapping voxels (volumetric pixels) emitting light in every direction. These voxels can be activated at any time to make shapes appear within the 3D volume.
ESKI has developed Aurora, a content generation platform embedded in Autodesk Maya that allows to create and to transfer 3D animations on the display.
